Sled Construction Requirements

  • Teams must construct their sled prior to the event and bring it with them.
  • No materials will be available on-site.
  • Sleds must be free of sharp edges, pointy objects, or any other features deemed dangerous by event staff.
  • Participants must be able to stop their sled. You may be asked to explain or demonstrate how your sled stops during inspection.

Only the following materials may be used to construct sleds:

Event Schedule and Registration

  • Registration is held on-site the day of the event beginning at 10:30 am.
  • Teams should report for registration between 10:30 and 10:50 am.
  • The Class 1 race begins at 11:00 am, with Class 2 and Class 3 races following immediately after the previous class is completed.
  • All racers are encouraged to be present for all races to ensure they do not miss their race.
  • Awards are presented at the completion of all races.

Best Design Contest

  • Participants may also choose to enter their sled in the Best Design contest.
  • Best Design is categorized by age classes.
  • Best Design is judged by an assembled panel prior to each class of speed races.
  • Entries must be on-site and registered by 10:45 am.
  • Judges’ decisions are final.
