Santa Village is a free event, located on a 15-acre enclosed farm site, where children and adults can make holiday memories. Participate in the Season of Giving by bringing donations of canned goods, cash and new or gently used toys for local organizations. Remember to dress warm and bring your camera!

Fargo Birding Festival

Description

Join the Fargo Park District and Audubon Great Plains for a morning of birds and binoculars in beautiful South Fargo. This birding festival is held in Forest River Park, which isย designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society and Birdlife International, joining a global network of the most important sites for birds.

All skill levels are welcome and no registration isย required for this free event. Bring your family out and learn about birding from experts, courtesy of Audubon Great Plains. Don't forget to bring a pair of binoculars, a limited number is provided.

Arts & Culture

Explore our youth programs centered on Arts & Culture, designed to foster creative expression and deepen cultural understanding. Through hands-on artistic experiences and cultural exploration, participants discover their voice, build confidence, and expand their perspectives in safe and welcoming spaces.

Programs in this area fall within three categories: Art Expression, Craft & Make, and Culture & Heritage. Together, these experiences encourage creativity, self-expression, and meaningful engagement with diverse artistic and cultural traditions.

Volleyball

This program focuses on teaching both girls and boys the fundamentals of volleyball, teamwork and sportsmanship. Players register on an individual basis only. Teams areย formed by the Fargo Park District. Practices and games are approximately one hour. A schedule with the actual dates and times is posted online after teams have been formed.ย 

Broomball

Similar to hockey, broomball is a fast-paced sport that's a hybrid of roller hockey and floor ball. It's a perfect indoor activity to participate in during the bleak winter months.

Swimming Lessons

ย 

Children progress through a series of seven levels designed to teach the fundamentals of swimming and encourage aquatic exploration with guided instruction. In doing so, the Fargo Park District works to ensure a high level of competency is acquired by participants in both aquatic safety and swimming skills.ย 

The Fargo Park District offers Winter, Spring, and Summer swimming lessons for a variety of ages:ย
