Youth Basketball
Our Kindergarten-2nd Grade Coed Youth Basketball program is perfect for young athletes eager to learn the fundamentals of the game. Over a 6-week period, participants will focus on basketball basics, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with practices and games held on Tuesdays and Thursdays for approximately 45 minutes each. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis, so don't miss the chance to get your child started on a fun and educational basketball journey!

We are proud to announce that the Fargo Park District is now a part of the FM Youth Basketball League (FMYBL) for kids in 3rd-6th Grades in South Fargo schools. The FMYBL seeks to develop and promote the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork and skill development with an emphasis on having fun. This community-wide program consists of over 100 teams from the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo and surrounding area.
Registration is accepted for individuals only, pre-formed teams are not allowed. Registrants for this league will be accepted for youth who live in the following school boundaries: Bennett, Centennial, Eagles, Ed Clapp, Jefferson, Kennedy, Lewis & Clark and Lincoln Elementary Schools for 3rd-5th Graders and Carl Ben Eielson and Discovery Middle Schools for 6th Graders. If your child attends a 3rd-6th school not listed above you will need to register with a separate FMYBL organization affiliate. CLICK HERE to view the other area FMYLB Associations.
Teams will be formed with a max of 10 kids per team. Practices will begin in early October on Mon, Tues or Thurs evenings and will be held in elementary gymnasiums. Games will take place Saturday mornings between 8:00 am-3:00 pm at area gymnasiums through mid-December. Jerseys will be handed out before the first game. Volunteer coaches are needed!
Early bird registration ends August 31. All registrations after August 31 will be first come first serve based on openings.
Fargo Park District Programs & Leagues
All Fargo Park District programs and leagues are first come first serve. Please be advised, a lot of programs and leagues fill up before the registration deadline. You cannot register for a program or league that is already full. Some programs and leagues have waitlists. If you are on a waitlist, you are NOT registered and are only contacted if a spot becomes available.
