River Park

Statue of Liberty Park is greenspace along the Red River, south of Main Avenue. It is part of the Red River Trail, taken north to Oak Grove Park or south to Lindenwood Park.

Wildflower Grove Park features a gravel parking lot that allows access to the Red River Trail. The trail can be taken south down to Lindenwood Park or north to Oak Grove Park. Wildflower Grove Park is a project of the Urban Woods & Prairie Initiative with Audubon Dakota.

Trefoil Park has a grill, picnic table, recreational trails, shoreline for fishing and a flying field for planes. With two model air plane circles, this park hosts the annual Control Line Model Airplane contest.

Burdick Park features recreational trails along the Red River and is a great spot to enjoy the outdoors.

Iwen Park features two disc golf courses, a boat ramp with access to the Red River, fishing spots, mountain bike trails and cross country ski trails in the winter. The park offers a quick 9-hole disc golf course and a full 18-hole championship course. Iwen Park is a project of the Urban Woods & Prairie Initiative with Audubon Dakota.

Lions Conservancy Park features wooded trails, is a great spot to do some bird watching and has a rustic Amphitheater stage. A project of the Urban Woods & Prairie Initiative with Audubon Dakota, Lions Conservancy Park provides plenty of opportunities to see birds and other wildlife in a natural setting along the banks of the Red River.

Holm Park is a large grass area along the Red River. To get to this park you'll need to walk in on a recreational trail.

Heritage Hills is classified as one of Fargo's nature parks and is a beautiful area filled with nature trails, ski trails and some paved trails. A project of the Urban Woods & Prairie Initiative with Audubon Dakota, Heritage Hills provides plenty of opportunities to see birds and other wildlife in a natural setting along the banks of the Red River.

Lemke Park has an outdoor skating and hockey rink, a warming house, picnic tables, an indoor shelter space available for rent in the summer, a playground and recreational trails. A project of the Urban Woods & Prairie Initiative with Audubon Dakota, Lemke Park is a Conservation Area and provides plenty of opportunities to see birds and other wildlife in a natural setting along the banks of the Red River. Lemke Conservancy provides woodlands and wetlands to be explored within the park.

Forest River Park is a heavily wooded area that has all types of trails. The trails wind through vegetation, giving you a chance to see wildlife in a natural setting. A project of the Urban Woods & Prairie Initiative with Audubon Dakota, Forest River provides plenty of opportunities to see birds and other wildlife in a natural setting along the banks of the Red River.
