The book lineup and activities include:

• Fargo Public Library on-site with a variety of books to check out, including some of the 2023 World Book Night Books

• NDSU Press on-site with various books to peruse and purchase

• Speakers discussing the importance of reading, the role of libraries and the variety of ways to access books

From 7:00-8:00 pm, as part of a larger international hour of reading (#ReadingHour), Broadway Square will host a Fargo Reading Hour where people are encouraged to bring, purchase, checkout or download a book to read individually while together (but socially distanced) around The Square.

Select participants will be provided with free ice cream coupons from Silver Linings Creamery.

• Anyone from Fargo Public Library who wants to talk about importance of reading/reading for fun and best ways to access books?

• Recommend your favorite book on an interactive Book Wall
• New Broadway Square Little Free Library unveiling

• A couple 2021 World Book Night books will be given away
• Free digital downloads of "Stories to Make You Smile" available on the World Book Night website
• Free World Book Night laminated bookmarks available

• Selections read from 2021 World Book Night books
• Audiobook passages from "The Kindness Method" will be played
• 2021 World Book Night Books (and others) will be available (paper and/or digital copies) onsite to pursue
• Zandbroz Variety & NDSU Press will have various books for sale at The Square
• Fargo Public Library will have the BookMobile onsite and will be checking out digital and paper books

At the beginning of May, pages from Broadway Square's sketchbook are sent out to the selected participants to be filled with images, sketches and words. Participants must deliver their page back to Broadway Square by June 1.
