Active Start is the entry level program designed for youth with little or no golf experience. The class will meet for 50 minutes once a week for five lessons. Using the oversized and bright colored SNAG (Starting New at Golf) equipment, the youth will be taught a simplified approach to learning the game of golf.

SNAG golf equipment will be provided for participants.

FUNdamentals is the follow-up to Active Start. This level is designed for the youth with or without previous golf experience. The class will meet for 60 minutes once a week for five lessons. Juniors will learn proper set-up and we will continue to develop the athletic movement patterns needed for the full swing. We will continue to acquire new skills and enjoy playing opportunities and contests on the El Zagal Golf Course or on the "Loop" at Osgood Golf Course.

Participants should bring their own golf clubs (a driver, 2-3 irons, wedge and putter).

Learn to Play is the follow-up to FUNdamentals. This level is designed for the junior with or without previous golf experience. The class will meet for 60 minutes once a week for five lessons. We will review material from previous levels and begin to go more in depth of the full swing, short game, rules, etiquette and course strategy.

Participants should bring their own golf clubs (a driver, 2-3 irons, wedge and putter).

Learn to Play – Instruction & Play is the follow-up to FUNdamentals and/or Learn to Play – Instruction Only. Juniors in this program should already possess solid fundamentals and be able to play 9-holes of golf carrying their own golf bag. The class will practice for 75 minutes once a week for five practices. We will review the material from previous levels and begin to go more in depth of the full swing, short game, rules, etiquette, course strategy and score-keeping. This program will be similar to the PGA Jr. Leagues. All juniors will compete in a team format at El Zagal Golf Course on Wednesday mornings beginning at 9:00 am. There will be five mornings of Team Play and five practices.

Participants should bring their own golf clubs.

Play to Improve is the follow-up to Learn to Play. Juniors in this program should already possess solid fundamentals and have the desire to improve their game and possibly play competitively. The class will practice for 75 minutes once a week for five lessons. Juniors will continue to refine skills and learn how to practice properly, establish goals and create a plan to achieve these goals. This program will better prepare the junior to compete in the Discover Junior Golf Tour.

Participants should bring their own golf clubs.
