There is a critical unmet need for indoor recreation facilities available to the public in our community of Fargo. To address this issue and benefit 13,000+ local kids in the first year, the Fargo Park District Foundation is planning to build the Fargo Sports Complex. This highly impactful community recreation facility will accommodate indoor sports, activities, tournaments and special events! Phase one of the project includes:

Enhance the quality of life in the metro area through the development of modernized facilities, new programs and by offering great opportunities for all in the community.

Our Purpose: 

Pursue unique fundraising opportunities and increase private sector support to further the development, growth, and excellence of the Park District in providing modernized facilities and quality recreation services.

The leadership for the Fargo Park District Foundation Foundation Board of Directors is made up of community leaders and concerned citizens serving in a volunteer capacity. Their roles include financial overview and support, overseeing risk and compliance (fiduciary), creating accountability, transparency and strategic fundraising direction and monitoring and evaluating governance.

Partner with the Fargo Park District Foundation!

The Foundation Matching Grant Program provides financial support for projects to enhance and expand recreational opportunities in the community. Associations, organizations, clubs, and individuals are encouraged to partner with the Foundation to bring community-driven park and recreation projects to life. 

Established in January 2019, The Matching Grant Program has supported numerous community projects that improve the recreational experiences of Fargo Residents. Below is a list of Fargo Park District Projects completed as a result of The Matching Grant Program.
