These art classes are designed for special needs teens and adults to explore their creative side. Learn to draw and paint. Try your hand at many types of art. Show off your work at an open house art show. It's fun, it's free and it's for you! Class fees and all supplies provided. For program information, call the Activity Center at 235-2444.

Birding

Birding is the identification and observation of wild birds in their natural habitat as a recreation.

These classes teach the philosophy of birding, tools for bird watching, bird anatomy, field marks, bird songs and more. Participants will also learn about the best places to bird in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Please bring binoculars to enhance your birding experience. The first class is a lecture followed by eight early morning field trips.

Archery 202

These courses are for those who have some experience in archery or have already completed an archery course. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment to learn how to properly set up their bow and proper shooting technique. All instructors are certified and have experience from both competitive shooting and instructing archery courses. 

Adult courses are for age 16+. The course is five weeks long with each session being 45 minutes. There is one session just for women and a second session offered is coed.  

Archery 101

Archery 101 teaches the basics of archery and proper shooting techniques. Equipment is provided. Instructors are certified and have multiple years of experience from both competition and instructing archery courses. Each group meets once per week for a 45-minute session for four weeks.
