Kayak Rental Information

Kayak rentals are available at a rate of $10.00 per hour. Rentals are provided on a first-come, first-served basis for a duration of 1 hour.

Kayak Specifications

The kayaks available for rent are 10-foot long and weigh 41 pounds. They are rated for the average user and have a weight restriction. No individual over 275 pounds is allowed to use the kayaks.

Rental Inclusions

Rentals include:

• A single-person kayak
• A PFD (personal flotation device)
• A paddle

All renters must wear a PFD, which can either be their own or the one provided.

Portage and Return

Renters are responsible for portaging the kayak from the rental building to the kayak ramp on the Red River and returning it to the rental building at the end of their rental period.

Age Requirements

• To sign the rental contract, an individual must be over 18 years of age.
• Anyone over the age of 12 may use an individual kayak.
• No one under the age of 12 is allowed in the kayaks.

Water Level and Flow Restrictions

Kayak rentals may not be available if the river levels exceed 17 feet or the flow rates are below 1500 cfs on the paddling scale rating. For current conditions, please call 701-232-3987.
