Code of Conduct for Broadway Square: A Placemaking Space

Everyone is welcome at Broadway Square, a privately owned public space.

Please help us create a family-friendly environment of inclusivity and respect for all while enjoying the amenities at The Square. Those not acting or communicating in such a manner (i.e. those being discriminatory, discourteous, disorderly, disruptive or otherwise harassing others or violating the Ordinances of the Park District of the City of Fargo) will be asked to leave.

Your right to use this space stops when the rights of other public patrons to safely and enjoyably use the space in its intended manner as a community space are negatively impacted by your use and behavior.

Broadway Square is not liable for any accidents that may occur or for any property left unattended.

Please be aware of conditions and your surroundings. Unattended items will be disposed of expediently.

Broadway Square is a smoke-free, drug-free, and weapon-free space.

This includes all forms and types of illegal drugs, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, vaping and tobacco products.

Alcohol is not allowed unless the appropriate permit has been obtained through Broadway Square Management.

This is a pedestrian and pet-friendly area and the active use of bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and motorized vehicles (other than wheelchairs and mobility assistance devices) at Broadway Square is not allowed.

Appropriate attire for a family environment in a busy urban setting is required while cooling off, engaging with and walking through the interactive Square Spouts. For kids, this means street clothes or a swimming suit, for adults this means street clothes. Water shoes and sunscreen are recommended.

Please make sure to check out and follow our Square Spouts Policies.

Pets are welcome at Broadway Square if they are well-behaved, leashed and you clean up after them.
Pets are not allowed in or near the interactive Square Spouts.
Please visit our Pet Pampering Station located at the Northeast corner of The Square for fresh water and pet treats.

Solicitation, commercial activity and amplified sound is not allowed at Broadway Square unless previously arranged with and permitted through Broadway Square Management.

Performers and entertainers must be pre-approved and contracted through Broadway Square Management. Send inquiries about performing to potentialperformer@fargobroadwaysquare.com
