The Fargo Park District hosted their 35th Annual Santa Village event at Rheault Farm November 27 through December 23, 2021. During this time there were over 9,000 visitors that came to the event and gave donations to benefit those in need in our community.

Admission to Santa Village is free, but donations were encouraged. Visitors were asked to donate non-perishable foods, new or gently used toys or cash. All donations are given to families in Cass and Clay counties.

During the 2021 Season of Giving, $3,177.17 in cash donations were collected. The cash donations were distributed to the Giving Tree of Hope and Children’s Miracle Network at Sanford Children’s Fargo. There were 1,482 pounds of non-perishable food items donated to the Great Plains Food Bank, equivalent to over 4,200 meals. 497 new and gently used toys were given to the YMCA 21st Century Community Learning Center. Santa Village also delivered 2,231 letters to Macy’s, who in turn donated $1.00 per letter to the Make a Wish Foundation of North Dakota.

“Each year the community shows their generosity at Santa Village and confirms the value of sharing with others,” says Tatiana Friese, Event Specialist for the Fargo Park District. “It is amazing to see the families that visit Santa Village and their desire to help others in our community. Their donations brighten the holiday season for our community’s children and families in need.”
