Lindenwood Park is the largest multi-use park in Fargo with five picnic shelters, a beautifully landscaped campground, bike & kayak rentals, restrooms, and two playgrounds including a fully adaptive playground for people of all abilities. There is a pedestrian bridge connected to Moorhead's Gooseberry Park

Shelters & Reservations

Are you interested in renting a shelter? Here's everything you need to know about the process:

Reservation Details

To rent a shelter, please visit the reservation page. Requests for rental can be made starting from the first business day of the year. The rental period is from May 1 to October 1 each year.

Advance Booking

All rentals must be booked at least 3 business days in advance.

Policy on Refunds

Please note that the Park District has a strict NO REFUND policy.

How to Reserve and View Pricing

To view pricing and reserve your shelter online, please go to the registrations/rentals section and log in to your account. Fees are subject to change, and additional fees may apply.

Rental Duration and Timing

Please be aware that rentals are for full days only. The rental times are from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Methods to Request Shelters

Requests for shelters can be made online or over the phone. For phone inquiries, please call 701-499-6060.

Payment Information

Payment is due at the time a reservation is made to secure your booking.

This shelter accommodates approximately 150-200 people. There is electricity in the shelter, a large charcoal grill and the restrooms are attached to the shelter. A Group Consumption Permit for Alcohol is available in conjunction with a paid rental. 

 

These three individual shelters accommodate approximately 20 people each. There is electricity in the shelters and a small charcoal grill located outside of each of the shelters. A Group Consumption Permit is available in conjunction with paid rental. 

This shelter is located next to the Rotary Playground. It accommodates approximately 160 people. There is electricity and a large grill at this shelter. A Group Consumption Permit for Alcohol is available in conjunction with a paid rental. 

Amenities

The FM Rotary Foundation and the Fargo Park District are proud of the Universal Playground at Lindenwood Park. The Universal Playground is accessible to all children of all abilities and is the only playground of this magnitude in this region.

The Lindenwood Kayak Launch is adaptive and fully ADA compliant, allowing for a wide variety of users to enjoy the benefits of non-motorized water sports on the Red River. 

The launch is designed for launching non-motorized watercraft on a steady footing. Users are spared the mess and inconvenience of traversing through clay-like mud along the riverbank.
