Mini Makers Mart Application Process
Those wishing to participate in the Mini Makers Mart must complete an application form and submit photos and information about the products they plan to sell. This opportunity is designed specifically for youth makers ages 8–17 and takes place during the Island Park Show on Saturday only.
All applications are reviewed to ensure a fun, creative, and well-balanced mix of Mini Makers.
- Applications are due by 12:00 AM on June 15 to be included in the first round of acceptances
- Applications submitted after June 15 may be reviewed if space is still available
- Application decisions will be sent by July 1
- All applications must be submitted electronically
- Mini Makers must reapply each year
Admission Considerations
Admission priority is based upon, but not limited to:
- Products being handmade by the Mini Maker
- Effort, creativity, and overall presentation (age-appropriate)
- Variety of products to create a balanced Mini Makers Mart
- Space availability within the Mini Makers area
- Completeness of application and submitted photos
Food & Beverage Guidelines (Mini Makers)
Mini Makers are welcome to sell pre-packaged, non-hazardous food items (such as baked goods), with parent/guardian support.
- A parent or guardian must assist with all food-related items
- All food must be prepared and packaged in a clean, safe manner
- Items should be individually wrapped or sealed
- Clearly label items with:
- Product name
- Basic ingredients (to help identify common allergens)
- No on-site cooking or food preparation is allowed
- The Fargo Park District reserves the right to limit or restrict food items
Note: Additional guidelines may be provided upon acceptance if applicable.
Day-of Event Expectations (Mini Makers)
Mini Makers are encouraged to take pride in their booth and enjoy the experience of participating in a community event!
- A parent or guardian must be present during the event
- Booths should be set up for the full event time (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Makers should be ready to interact with customers and share their work
- Booths should be clean, safe, and organized
