Jerry was elected to the Board in 2016. As the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Engagement for the North Dakota University System, he provides public affairs and strategy leadership for the North Dakota University System office and the 11 institutions of the NDUS. He retired as a Captain in the Navy Reserve after 28 years of service. He serves on the Board of Directors of FM Athletics and the Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament. He also volunteers with the Growing Together community garden project. Jerry and his wife Tami raised two sons and his family has been active users of Park District amenities.
