The public can now access most Riverfront parks and trails as of May 9, 2023. The following parks and trails are open but affected by some flooding: Trollwood Park, Trefoil Park, Mickelson Park and Fields, Oak Grove Park, Dike East Park, Red River Trail, Lindenwood Park, Lions Conservancy Park, Iwen Park, Orchard Glen Park, Forest River Park and Heritage Hills Park. 

The public is urged to use caution and stay alert to flood conditions during use.

The Fargo Park District has closed all parks and trails along the Red River for flood mitigation efforts. There are flood waters present currently in portions of the multiuse trail system along the river as well as the lower sections of the riverfront parks. Parks and trails along the river will remain closed until flood levels subside and flood cleanup is completed. 

The park closure includes but is not limited to: Dike East Park and Dog Park, Holm Park, Iwen Park Lindenwood Park, Lions Conservancy Park, Oak Grove Park, Trefoil Park, Wildflower Park and Jack Williams Stadium. In addition, the nature park closures include: Orchard Glen, Forest River and Heritage Hills. The trail closure includes the multiuse trails stretching from Lindenwood to El Zagal and Trollwood to Riverwood.
