The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG) together with the Fargo Park District and the City of Fargo, are seeking public input for the Red River Greenway Study. The Red River Greenway Study is a collaborative planning effort led by Metro COG studying ways to expand and enhance the greenway along the Red River on the North Dakota side of the river.
The results of this study will provide a framework for an enhanced and expanded greenway along the Red River. The study area extends along the Red River from the north edge to the south edge of Fargo city limits, and along Drains 53 and 27. Conceptual analysis will also extend as far south as 124th Avenue S. Potential amenities to the greenway could include shared use paths, trails, parks, open spaces, natural habitats, cultural areas, and more.
We would love to hear your input! This public engagement opportunity includes online surveys, an online comment mapping activity, and in-person events which can be found at the project’s website: fmmetrocog.org/RedRiverGreenway. In-person public engagement opportunities will consist of a booth at various spring/summer events such as the River Keepers Race the Red event, and the June Night Bazaar.
The public engagement opportunity will be open until mid-June.
