Do you have an overgrown apple tree and you’re not sure where to start? Are you interested in learning ways to take care of trees and plants? Learn how to prune from the Fargo Park District Forestry experts at an Apple Tree Pruning Workshop on Friday, May 7 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Orchard Glen.

Learn how to prune apple trees and get them ready for their summer growing season. The Fargo Park District Forestry Team will provide live demonstration with opportunity for hands on learning for attendees. Topics of this workshop include general apple tree pruning, pruning damaged trees, scaffold branch pruning of cherry trees, cleft grafting and training apple trees.

The Fargo Park District Forestry team will provide tools and know how. Please bring safety glasses, work gloves and appropriate clothing.

This program is free and open to the public; advanced registration is required. Space is limited, so register early.
