Explore our youth programs centered on Social & Play, designed to strengthen social connections and promote a sense of belonging through inclusive collaboration, accessible play, and welcoming shared experiences. Through shared activities and group-based fun, participants build friendships, practice teamwork, and enjoy time together in positive, supportive spaces.
Programs in this area fall within three categories: Connect & Play, Fun & Entertaining, and Day Camp. Together, these experiences encourage connection, community, and playful interactions that help relationships grow.
Participants will:
- Explore social connection and play through shared activities and experiences
- Gain a sense of belonging and community
- Engage in playful and collaborative interactions that foster relationships and enjoyment

Games & Play
Get ready to experience the heart-pounding world of Nerf Wars, where foam darts fly, alliances are formed, and epic battles take place. The battleground? Metro Rec Center should give us plenty of room to dodge obstacles, strategize with teammates, and celebrate a win!
Registration is separate for each session date and on an individual basis. Hit up all your friends and sign up soon as spots are limited and sure to fill up fast.
Participants are welcome to bring their own Nerf gun if they’d like, with a limit of one per person. Battery-operated devices are not allowed. If you prefer not to bring your own, we will have Nerf guns available to use. Foam darts and eye protection will be provided by Fargo Parks. Please do not bring your own foam darts, they are not allowed.
Two sessions are offered per date:
- Ages 6-8: 5:00-6:00 pm
- Grades 3-5: 6:00-7:00 pm
