The Fargo Park District High School Girls Flag Football program, proudly sponsored by the Minnesota Vikings, offers female athletes in grades 9–12 an exciting opportunity to learn, compete, and grow in the sport of flag football. Open to all high school girls across the metro area, this pilot program aligns with the Vikings’ broader initiative to expand girls flag football and empower young women on and off the field. Teams will consist of approximately 15 players, with a maximum of eight teams in the inaugural season. The season includes weekly practices and twelve games, all starting the week of April 13 and culminating in playoffs and the opportunity to compete for a state championship. Teams will ideally be formed based on proximity to schools to make practices easy to attend. This pilot season lays the foundation for future growth, with hopes to expand both locally and statewide in the coming years.
League Details
High school–aged girls are invited to take part in our 8-week Flag Football season! This program is designed to give athletes a competitive, fun, and school-centered experience similar to a high school sport.
Games will be played on Sundays, with two games each week, and practices will take place one evening during the week. We are committed to working around each school’s existing sports schedules to ensure athletes can participate without conflict.
Each school will have the opportunity to form its own team, with players grouped by school first. If needed, schools may be combined after the registration deadline to ensure full teams. Teams will be formed with a minimum of 10 players.
This is a great opportunity to develop skills, compete, and be part of a growing sport, all while representing your school!
Practice will start the week of April 13 with exact day and time to be determined.
Game days will be held on the following Sundays with 2 games per team per date.

This season runs from mid-April, with weekly practices leading up to games and the championship in early June before graduation. Fargo Park District Programs & Leagues
All Fargo Park District programs and leagues are first come first serve. Please be advised, a lot of programs and leagues fill up before the registration deadline. You cannot register for a program or league that is already full. Some programs and leagues have waitlists. If you are on a waitlist, you are NOT registered and are only contacted if a spot becomes available.
