Hit the ice with Fargo Parks Youth Hockey Skills Training program, designed for young skaters of all skill levels! Whether your child is just learning to skate or sharpening their hockey techniques, our program combines skill-building with loads of fun. With expert coaching and plenty of ice time, kids will develop their abilities and gain confidence on the rink. Adaptive Programs

Fargo Parks offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all abilities. Our Adult Adaptive Program is designed to create meaningful experiences for adults with disabilities, utilizing our parks and local facilities to promote fun, connection, and personal growth.

Sports Sampler

Is your little one ready to explore the world of sports? Join us for our Youth Sports Sampler, where kids ages 3-6 can try their hand at various sports to find their true passion! 

This program is a four-week, eight session program for children 3-6 years old. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Each session lasts 45 minutes. Registration is on a first come first serve basis until full. The Fargo Park District offers multiple Sports Sampler Programs throughout the year:

Hockey

Get ready to lace up and hit the ice with the Fargo Park District's Adult Hockey Leagues! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just looking to have some fun on the rink, we've got a league for you. Our Lower, Middle, and Upper divisions offer a range of skill levels, so everyone can join in on the action. Safety is our top priority, so absolutely no checking or slap shots allowed. We strictly enforce USA Hockey rules across all divisions and have a zero-tolerance policy for fighting. With games lasting about an hour, it's the perfect way to get your adrenaline pumping.

Cardboard Sled Race

Description

Get ready to turn ordinary cardboard into extraordinary fun! Bring your creativity and engineering skills to the hill as you build a sled from recycled cardboard and race it against others in a thrilling downhill challenge. Show off your imagination in the Best Design contest and compete for speed in your age class. Registration begins at 10:30 am in the warming house, with races starting promptly at 11:00 am.

Age Classes:

  • Class 1: Ages 10 and under
  • Class 2: Ages 11 to 17
  • Class 3: Ages 18 and older

This is a free, family-friendly event and pre-registration is not required.

Santa Village

Celebrate the holiday season at Rheault Farm by planning a visit to Santa Village! Bring the whole family to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, meet Santa’s reindeer and more holiday fun. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝! 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝟒𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Santa Village is a free event, located on a 15-acre enclosed farm site, where children and adults can make holiday memories. Participate in the Season of Giving by bringing donations of canned goods, cash and new or gently used toys for local organizations. Remember to dress warm and bring your camera!
