Birding

Birding is the identification and observation of wild birds in their natural habitat as a recreation.

These classes teach the philosophy of birding, tools for bird watching, bird anatomy, field marks, bird songs and more. Participants will also learn about the best places to bird in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Please bring binoculars to enhance your birding experience. The first class is a lecture followed by eight early morning field trips.

Archery

Discover the art of archery in our comprehensive adult program designed for both beginners and mid-level participants, ages 16 and up. Whether you're taking your first shot or refining your skills, our program offers a supportive and structured environment to develop your archery expertise. Led by experienced instructors, you'll learn fundamental techniques, to unveil your inner archer. Join a community of like-minded individuals in a program that balances guidance with the freedom to progress at your own pace.

Archery

The Fargo Park District's archery program is open to kids, adults, and families looking to learn and improve their archery skills. Whether you're in it for the fun or aiming to advance, we've got you covered. We offer Archery 101 and 202 lessons for the following groups:

  • Youth – Ages 10-15
  • Adult – Ages 16 +
  • Family – 1 Adult + 1-2 Youth

Adaptive Programs

Fargo Parks provides a safe and inclusive space for people of all abilities. The Adaptive Adult Program is specially made utilizing our parks and local facilities to foster a memorable experience for adults with disabilities.
