The Fargo Park District is inviting community members to retrieve their personalized pickets or sections of fence from Yunker Farm Park before it is removed later this summer due to the declining condition of the fence.
Residents interested in retrieving their picket or section of fence must submit a request between Monday, July 20 and Friday, July 31. Requests may be made by calling the Fargo Park District North Maintenance Shop at 701-551-5891 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Community members who prefer not to call may complete this short request form by Friday, July 31. When submitting a request, residents should provide the name displayed on the picket and any additional information that may help staff locate it.
Fargo Park District staff will identify and mark requested pickets and fence sections from August 3-7. Approved items will then be available for pickup at Yunker Farm Park from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on August 11, 12 and 13. Park District staff will be available on-site to assist with retrieval. Due to the age of the fence, picket condition cannot be guaranteed.
Residents who cannot attend one of the scheduled pickup times may arrange to collect their requested item from the North Maintenance Shop, located at 550 15th Street North. Alternative arrangements must be made in advance, and the Fargo Park District must be notified by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13.
Unclaimed pickets and sections will be disposed of following the August 13 deadline. A limited number of fence sections may be retained for potential future use depending on their condition.
