Join the Fargo Park District and Audubon Dakota for a morning of birds and binoculars in South Fargo. The Winter Birding Festival is scheduled from 9:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday, January 22 at Forest River Park. Forest River Park is designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society and Birdlife International, joining a global network of the most important sites for birds.

This festival is free for the entire community. Bring your family out and learn about birding from experts, courtesy of Audubon Dakota. All skill levels are welcome and there’s a good chance that you can see several species of woodpeckers, owls, and more rare winter birds, like the Red Crossbill! Free hot cocoa is provided, but please bring your own binoculars.

This event is an official part of Frostival, a community-wide celebration of how the Fargo-Moorhead Community makes cold cool. Forest River Park is located at 500 Forest River Dr. For more information, contact the Fargo Park District at 701-499-6060 or visit FargoParks.com.
