In an effort to serve even more seniors, Valley Senior Services and the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties are bringing “Community Lunch for Seniors” to yet another location - the Schlossman YMCA! Seniors now have the option to participate in this partnership program at either the Fercho or Schlossman YMCA for a healthy community meal! Lunch is a free-will donation, and open to all – no need to sign up in advance!

You are eligible to participate if you are age 60+, along with your spouse of any age. Suggested donation is $4.00. Not a senior, but still want to join? You’re more than welcome – just pay $4/meal! Meals are provided in partnership with the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties and Valley Senior Services, a subsidiary of the Fargo Park District.

“Access to nutrition is vitally important. We are excited to further our partnership with the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties with the addition of the new Community Dining location at Scholossman YMCA,” shares Shannon Lang, Valley Senior Services Nutrition Manager. “This marks Valley Senior Services’ 18th meal site for seniors in Cass County and partnerships like this are instrumental in ensuring area seniors are able to have access to well-balanced, nutritional, and affordable meals in a friendly atmosphere.”

Valley Senior Services continues to offer pick-up meals for seniors who are unable to eat in a community dining setting. Those ages 60 and older who are unable to attend community dining or pick up meals from meal sites can call 701-293-1440 for more information about Meals on Wheels delivery.
