Explore North Woodhaven Pond and learn about trout and fly fishing with the Fargo Park District at Trout Fest! Trout Fest is a free catch and release fishing derby on Monday, June 14. Onsite check in begins at 5:30 pm and the derby starts at 6:15 pm. Adult supervision is recommended.

Trout Fest is a free event for any youth ages 15 and under who enjoys fishing. Bring your own rod and reel and we take care of the bait for free! Nightcrawlers and fun giveaways are provided while supplies last. Awards presentation follows the derby. Learn more about fly fishing, casting, entomology, conservation, equipment demonstrations and much more at complimentary clinics provided by Scheels throughout the event.

Trout Fest is sponsored in part by FM Walleyes Unlimited and Scheels.

Along with the in-person event, families are encouraged to celebrate Trout Fest all-weeklong at Woodhaven North Fishing Pond. From June 15-20 share a photo of your best catch on the Fargo Park Districts Trout Fest Facebook event. Participants who share their photos are entered to win fun fishing prizes! Winners are chosen at random on June 21.

Woodhaven North Pond is located at 4406 44th Avenue S. in Fargo. For more information on the Fargo Park District's summer events, call 701-499-6060 or visit FargoParks.com.
