More Than Sports: Discover Community Education at Fargo Parks
When you think of Fargo Parks programming, sports might be the first thing that comes to mind. For generations, we’ve been a go-to for volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball and plenty of other ways to get in the game.
But recreation is about more than sports. It’s also about discovering something new, building a skill, getting creative, meeting people and finding new ways to connect with your community.
That’s where Community Education at Fargo Parks comes in.
Our growing lineup of programs gives youth and adults opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and connect with others through engaging, hands-on experiences. Programs are centered around five areas: Arts & Culture, Education & STEM, Health & Wellness, Nature & Outdoors, and Social & Play.
At the heart of Community Education is a simple idea: people of all ages should have opportunities to keep learning, growing and trying new things. Guided by Fargo Park District’s values of authenticity, boldness and collaboration, these programs create welcoming spaces to explore interests, build confidence and make meaningful connections.
