Join the Fargo Park District, Audubon Great Plains, City of Fargo, and River Keepers for an afternoon of trees and community at the 2023 Arbor Day Party. The event will take place on Thursday, May 18 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at Rheault Farm. This free educational event is open to all ages and aims to highlight the vital role that trees and green spaces play in the overall well-being of our community.

The party will feature various activities for individuals of all ages that promote the preservation and appreciation of our natural surroundings.

Highlights of this year’s event include:

  • Equipment displays: learn more about the equipment that Fargo Park District Foresters use to care for the thousands of trees in the Fargo community. Enjoy machine demos and even take a photo with a giant chainsaw.

  • Tree planting demonstration: get your hands dirty with a hands-on tree planting demonstration by a Fargo Park District Forester.

  • Ask a Forester booth: ask all your tree and plant questions to a local arborist and learn more about tree care and urban forestry.

  • Ask a Master Gardener: A Master Gardener will be on site to talk about all things gardening.

  • Tree ID tour: join Baker Garden staff to learn how to identify common trees in the community and enter for a chance to win a free tree!

  • Food for purchase from local food truck
