Get ready for a day of frosty fun at the annual Youth Pond Hockey Tournament in the heart of Lindenwood Park! Watch your kids hit the ice and revel in the joy of hockey the old-fashioned way—out in the crisp, open air!
We're gearing up for an action-packed day that promises endless smiles. Each team plays three games in this jamboree-style event, with two 10-minute halves. Our divisions are tailored for every skill level, with 10U, 8U, and 6U (All divisions are coed). Teams can roster up to 8 players, but squads of 6 are recommended for maximum fun! And that's not all—every registered player gets a cool beanie to rock on the ice.
Games are set for a fast-paced 4-on-4 showdown that'll have you at the edge of your seat! And when you're not cheering on your team, head over to our cozy warming tent for snacks, drinks, and a chance to toast some marshmallows on our outdoor fire pits!
A special shoutout to our amazing sponsor, Axis Clinicals.
This event is a proud part of Frostival, a community-wide celebration of how the Fargo-Moorhead community turns chilly weather into an opportunity for cool, unforgettable experiences. For more details about the event and a full lineup of activities, swing by frostival.com.

Jamboree Rules
- Players can only play on one team.
- All players must check-in at the Player Information Table in the warming house before their first game to ensure they have the proper liability waiver signed and obtain a wristband. Wristbands must be worn throughout the day. All players must have a liability waiver signed by a guardian.
- A team Coach must attend a rule meeting before the team's first game.
- Substitutions must be made prior to the first game.
- There is one rink manager to monitor play.
- Games are composed of two 10 min halves with a 1 min halftime.
- All players must wear full hockey equipment.
- No goalie equipment or goalie sticks permitted.
- There are no off-sides or icing calls.
- Goals are scored from the attacking side of the center ice.
- All games are running time and substitutions can be made during play.
- If a puck goes out of bounds a new puck is put into play.
- Goaltending is not allowed.
- Referees call out the score after each goal.
- Being that this is a jamboree structure, games can end in a tie.
- Penalties are called for rule infractions. Penalties called by rink manager/official are final. A minor penalty results in possession of the puck awarded to the opposing team. Rink officials have the discretion to also award a goal to the opposing team when a minor penalty is flagrant and/or a team is consistently playing in a reckless manner.
- Any major penalty, which includes any action that could possibly injure another player, results in that player being ejected from the tournament. The team that received the ejection plays the remainder of the current game short-handed. The rink official determines major penalties. (No players can be added if others are lost to major penalties).
