The Fargo Park District Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the second round of the 2021 Matching Grant Program. The Matching Grant Program provides a funding opportunity for associations, organizations, clubs or individuals to partner on projects in Fargo Park District facilities or parks.
“The Fargo Park District Foundation is happy to partner with Tri-City United Soccer Club through our Grant Match Program,” shared Brian Arett, Fargo Park District Foundation Director. “Our continued goal for this program is to provide opportunities to support projects, like those of this fantastic organization, that enrich the lifestyle of our community through recreation.”
Tri-City United Soccer Club will receive up to a $6,500 match grant to partially fund their project: New/Additional Soccer Goals. The project will allow Tri-City United Soccer Club to replace and add an additional 20 soccer goals to several locations. The additional soccer goals allow Tri-City United Soccer Club to stop transporting goals from each location and keep the goals at their primary locations including, Pepsi Soccer Complex and Centennial School.
The Matching Grant Program provides a dollar-for-dollar match. The project sponsor must certify that they have the necessary funds for their share of the total estimated project’s cost in order to be considered for the program. This is the first time Tri-City United Soccer Club has been selected as a grant recipient.
The Fargo Park District Foundation considers applications for the Matching Grant program twice a year. In order to be considered for the next funding cycle, applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm on January 1, 2022. Prior to submission and deadline, Brian Arett, Foundation Director, must be contacted at 356-1420 to conduct an initial project review to make sure the project meets minimum specifications. Applications can be obtained by emailing a request to foundation@fargoparks.com.
