The magic of World Book Night is coming to Broadway Square! Join us on Saturday, April 23 from 2:00-4:00 pm for our free event, the annual World Book Night Celebration, focusing on the importance of literacy and access to books.
At this event, attendees can read, download and purchase books. The event also includes opportunities to hear authors read from their works, register for a library card, check out books at the Fargo Public Library’s Book Bike, collect a free World Book Night bookmark and participate in book giveaways. Event attendees are encouraged to share their reading recommendations on the interactive Book Sharing Wall or add a book to the Broadway Square Little Free Library.
We encourage event attendees to grab their favorite food from nearby Downtown Fargo restaurants and snack shops before joining us again for #ReadingHour from 4:00-5:00 pm. #ReadingHour is part of the widely known international reading hour from 7:00-8:00 pm, where people are encouraged to bring, check out, purchase or download a book to read individually yet together at The Square.
This event is a cooperative effort with the Fargo Public Library, NDSU Press and the World Book Night Organization. It includes access to and awareness of a variety of books for all ages from each of these organizations.
Broadway Square is located at 201 Broadway N, Fargo. For more information, call 701-499-6060 or visit FargoBroadwaySquare.com.
