The community laced up their skates and green gear for one final open skate at Broadway Square. The SCHEELS Skating Rink was open Saturday, March 18 from 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM for open skate before the rink was closed and removed for the season.
We held a special St. Patrick’s Day themed celebration and watched the 26th annual Fargo-Moorhead St. Patrick's Day Parade right from the ice! Hot chocolate and concessions were available for purchase and skates available for rent for $5 a pair. The first 35 visitors to the Skate Shack received a free Broadway Square beanie.
Fargo Park District operations and maintenance teams began the removal process of the SCHEELS Skating Rink on Sunday, March 20. As the rink comes down and we prep for warmer spring weather, we ask that everyone remain off the ice, coils, etc. so our amazing operations team at Fargo Parks can smoothly transition the space! The Skate Shack will be removed Wednesday, March 29.
