Why did you become a sponsor at Broadway Square?

I am excited about the new changes always happening downtown. It’s become a destination for all ages to enjoy. Whether it’s wandering around and shopping during the day or eating at the diverse restaurants and experiencing the night life, Downtown Fargo is fun. I worked downtown several years ago. From then until now, it doesn’t even seem like the same city.
What are you excited to see in the future at Broadway Square?

I’m excited about the courtyard and outdoor gathering space. It was so pretty with the ice rink and Christmas tree. I see the outdoor space being used all year long for gatherings.
Tell us about your commitment to the Fargo community.

I grew up in rural Rothsay, MN. We have lived, worked, and raised our family in the Fargo area. I built my business, Design Direction, a retail flooring and window covering store along with Interior Design Center, here in Fargo. I’ve been involved in many church and school activities such as the Home Builders Association and Fargo Moorhead Home Builders Care Foundation, the FMAM Rotary club, worked with projects for Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together and the Legacy Children’s Foundation. I value supporting those who need a helping hand. By doing so, our community becomes stronger.
