These programs are for kids that have special needs. Check each program below for requirements.

Adaptive Programs

Location: Robert D. Johnson Rec Center
Spring Session Dates: Thursdays - March 14,21,28 & April 4,11,18 

Adaptive art classes are designed for special needs teens and adults to explore their creative side. Participants learn to draw and paint while trying their hand at many types of art.

Participants also get a chance to show off their work at an open house art show. It's fun, it's free and it's for you! Class fees and all supplies provided. For program information, call the Activity Center at 235-2444.

These programs are for children with special needs ages 5-21. They offer recreational opportunities that encourage social interaction through field trips, picnics, games and more. Adaptive Summer Camps are at various park locations on Monday-Thursday in June and July. Squirt Camp: 5-7 year olds
Junior Camp: 8-10 year olds
Teen Camp: 11-15 year olds
Camp-A-Day: 16-21 year olds

Adaptive Tae Kwon Do

This program is for children with special needs ages 5-20. Children learn basic skills and techniques of Tae Kwon Do. Adaptive Tae Kwon Do is at Red River Traditional Tae Kwon Do (3509 4th Ave S, Fargo, ND) on Mondays and Wednesdays, sessions are offered year-round.

Fargo Park District Programs & Leagues

All Fargo Park District programs and leagues are first come first serve. Please be advised, a lot of programs and leagues fill up before the registration deadline. You cannot register for a program or league that is already full. Some programs and leagues have waitlists. If you are on a waitlist, you are NOT registered and are only contacted if a spot becomes available.
