Description

The Fargo Park District invites the public to the community’s first State of the Parks public forum on Tuesday, December 6 at 5:30 pm. The forum will include a report delivered by Fargo Park District Executive Director Dave Leker reflecting on the past year, celebrating the District’s many successes and looking forward to future initiatives. The event will be hosted at the Dakota Medical Foundation, 4141 28th Ave S, Fargo.    

The event is free to the public but does require registration.

The public forum will be streamed via the Fargo Park District YouTube channel and the Fargo Park District Facebook page and recordings will be available after the event. 

The public is also urged to submit items of interest and questions via the registration link. A moderator will facilitate a question-and-answer portion of the event using submitted questions with Fargo Park District leadership. 

Expected topics of discussion include the Fargo Parks Sports Complex, Island Park Pool, Yunker Farm Park Master Plan, Island Park Master Plan, recreation programs, and the District’s recent strategic plan and reorganization.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

WHEREAS, N.D.C.C. §40-49-12 and §40-49-13 authorize the Board of Park Commissioners to manage park property and exercise its powers by ordinance; and

Calling all little elves! Kids ages 4–10 are invited to the Elf Workshop at Rheault Farm to create a special handmade gift for a parent, guardian, or loved one. Each gift will be wrapped and ready to go under the tree, so it stays a surprise until the big day!

Once upon a time, in an art studio filled with imagination, a world of creativity came to life! In this five-week Art Studio session, artists will step into the magical world of fairy tales, folklore, and storybook adventures as they bring their own imaginative stories to life through art. From enchanted forests and magical castles to mythical creatures and whimsical characters, each class invites artists to explore new materials, techniques, and creative possibilities.
